What to compare in a solar fan specification

Solar scene

Solar fan specifications combine several components: the fan, the solar panel and the rechargeable battery. Comparing the complete combination helps you prepare a useful product brief.

Start with the fan format

The FS-988 has an 18-inch grille and a rated fan power of 25 W. The FS-718 has a 16-inch grille and a rated fan power of 15 W. Both models list three speed settings. Consider the intended placement, the available space and the product size your customers expect.

Read panel ratings alongside battery capacity

The FS-988 specification lists a 20 W, 9 V panel and a 15,000 mAh ternary lithium battery. The FS-718 lists a 12 W, 9 V panel and an 8,800 mAh ternary lithium battery. The listed panel dimensions are 400 × 350 mm and 350 × 290 mm respectively.

Battery capacity alone does not establish operating time. Runtime and charging performance depend on the full configuration and operating conditions. Ask for the test conditions and results for the exact sample you are considering.

Confirm the supplied accessories

Accessory requirements belong in the product brief. For the FS-988, optional lighting with two brightness settings can be discussed. Confirm the panel, cable, battery and any lighting accessories included in the final package.

Review the sample as a complete system

Check the agreed fan controls, battery configuration, panel specification and packing list together. This gives both teams a clearer reference for the production order.
